I had an interesting thought inspired by this bootcamp I'm building to help young adults (14+) get dream jobs in digital industries (more on that soon).
Serj (my partner on the project) sent me a "scaffolding" for the program, which was totally blank, but that I was meant to fill.
It was a basic scaffolding, simply showing blanks for each week’s educational transformation.
Still, that blank spreadsheet was like a puzzle and my mind started working on it in the background. I came out of the shower with so many ideas for what to put into the scaffold.
It makes me wonder about this “scaffolding” strategy…
Perhaps I should identify my most ambitious projects, and, instead of trying to build them, I just try to build a "scaffold" for their design, so that I might fill it in someday... Not now! But slowly, deliberately, as my subconscious mind chews on the problem.
Perhaps scaffolding breeds productivity. A form of inevitable cognition.
If designing your work is aspirin, perhaps a simple scaffold is the headache.
